We use ceramic-hybrid Revo Precision sealed headset bearings with a special ti-nitride finish. Ceramic balls are hard and smooth. These hybrid bearings use ceramic balls mixed with hardened steel balls. While it would be overkill to use full ceramic bearings in a headset that merely pivots, using a couple ceramic balls keeps the precision ground races smooth and free of debris so that the steel balls run extra smooth. The bright blue, ti-nitride finish adds corrosion resistance for extra long bearing life.
